Has anyone else noticed SP 2020 being very sluggish over the last 2 weeks?  It's pretty much un-usable on my 4 year old desktop (which is otherwise a beast of a machine - has 16GB RAM, Nvidia 1080 8GB video card, Intel I7 2.4Ghtz processor etc) and I JUST bought a beast of a laptop (like - yesterday) and it's doing the same thing.  Laptop has 32GB Ram, Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB video card with Max-Q tech, Intel 10875 I7 processer (one of the newest ones on the market), firecuda SSD, etc.

And when I do something miniscule such as go to rotate or move or copy something (notes, shapes, etc) it takes 2-3 seconds to do this, as opposed to the split second it's taken for the last 5 years!  Something has happened, and I don't know what it is.  Is it SP patch?  Is it a windows update?  Anyone else have this issue, and anyone have any mitigations for it?

Thanks!

I've had no issues. Your laptop should be eating SP2020 for lunch.

Yes, i'm experiencing the same issue on my desktop. It's new and well exceeds hardware requirements.

Bryan - any insights into why?  Maybe it's a windows update?

Sometimes SP lags when I copy or do some minute task (in my estimation). I am not a fan of Windows at all so I blame them. Still, frustrating.

I have the same issue but mine may just be file size.  I am doing townhomes and I have each unit as a building option.

I've had lag issues, do something and there's a long delay. I've noticed it in other programs, besides SoftPlan, at the same time. I reboot and everything is fine. I think it's more of a Windows issue than anything. It's seems to have picked up over the last couple of weeks.

Jeremy,

I do not insight as to why, but I'm going to make. sure windows is up to date and see what that does. I'll update .

Mark - I agree! Would love to see Softplan run on Mac without additional program. My wife never has problems with her MacBook.

Bryan, I laugh when people say they have no problems with their Apple computers.  Go to an Apple service center and see all the people in there trying to resolve an issue, software and hardware.  I did so with my son-in-law one time.  Eye opening to me.  They make good products but....

I'm running on a lesser system then this and it's not sluggish!
