I have been able to get by with creating line drawings for elevations, but jurisdictions are now asking for color elevations. I've been playing with the annotated model views, but am finding it impossible to make them look good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Kara, where are you?  What jurisdiction is requiring colored elevations?  The requirements everywhere is getting crazy.

I could see a homeowners association asking for that.  And i agree with that request.

But hopefully not building inspectors

Again, minor officials are letting power go to their heads.

Hand drawn black and white blueprints should still be acceptable if the information contained on them is correct. It's the information that is critical NOT the way the information is presented.

Kara,

I've been producing full colour elevations a long time before annotated elevations came into being, using model paint.

Have a look at this thread ...

See if that will work for you.
