All of the sudden my mouse wheel will not allow me to rotate the models.

Anyone have a solution?

Have you thought about getting a 3D Space mouse?

Interesting...

I can’t imagine doing 3D modeling without the 3D mouse. It does take some practice and fine tuning to make it sing...

Sam, do you play the piano, by chance?

Nope.  I find navigating with the arrow keys is fast and smooth.  The mouse just got in the way

Softplan does not seem to be listed as a supported application. How does not being supported affect use?

I'd love to try one, but the cost is definitely prohibitive. My pocket would never stretch that far ...

I have never had any problems with SoftPlan in 3D not working with the space navigator... I just wish it worked in 2D like it does in Chief Architect, where you can move in and out and pan while in the middle of a function.

If money is tight, go with the space mouse and see if it works for you... and then save your loose change until you go for the enterprise. That’s what I did.

I'm more like Sam.  Nothing fancy as I use arrows a lot in 3D but I do like the vertical 3 button mouse by Anker for my work.  Great for wrist fatigue.  Or not having fatigue-however you read that. :-)
