This has probably been beaten to death on here but I could not find it in the search. So I have been designing in the Midwest since 1974. In that time I have never had a design contract for clients and never really had any issues. I do have E&O  insurance but in this day and age we live, I thought it might be a good idea to finally "legitimize" my business lol. I am a single person operation looking for some examples of design contracts. I would be willing to compensate for a contract that I could modify slightly and begin using (don't want to reinvent the wheel). I do house design only,  mostly for builders direct. No costing, specs, systems, site work or inspections. Any help would be appreciated.   Greg

Don't mean to hi-jack here but I'm in a similar set up as Greg Cherry; mostly residential design, working with builders and homeowners. Any contracts I've tried to source are usually relative to a different type of design field.
I operate my business in rural Nova Scotia, so I don't have a lot of opportunity to 'network' with like minded pros in my field.
IF anyone would be so inclined I'd love to see an example of what yours contain.
As he said, I would be happy to compensate also.
