Hi All,

I am wondering if there is a way to view/know what material file is currently loaded into the 3d model. Is there name in the cache file or somewhere else in Softplan?

(It must be in memory somewhere because other users can open the model and all the materials stay put)

Thank you!

Brendan

Brendan in the drop down in upper left corner you will find Material File.

Attached find a screen shot from the Softplan Online Manual. The manual

holds a wealth of information with answers to many questions.

Thanks Steve for the input, although, I'm looking for the name of the current loaded material file name (for example if I load "craftsman" I'd like to see that name listed somewhere). It would be nice if the status bar would list the name of the material file that has been loaded.

My issue is, when somebody else in the office loads a material file, I don't have a reference as to which one they used.

Hope I'm explaining this correctly...

Thanks!

It's in the 3d view- on the toolbar directly to the right of the function button.

I can see where that tool bar is however no matter which material file I load in, it only says "Project"

All we ever see is project, unlike Brendan we only have ourselves loading files. It would be

nice if the material file would indicate which project material file was loaded.

It used to ... I think the advent of project files changed it.

Going back to 2016 and loading Stick Frame.spm , it shows Stick Frame as the material file.

Permanently showing "Material File: Project" is completely useless. It may as well not be there!

Sounds like a bug that needs reported?
