Dimension font size.

Trying to reduce dimension font size, went to File>system options>character setup>dimension numbers and I changed size from 6" to 3" and nothing changes ? any suggestions ?/

Gary,

You have to change it in drawing options also for the drawing you are working on. Any new drawing you start should reflect the new dimension text size.

thanks Jim  I did change the font size in the character setup as explained in my question  After doing that the dimensions still don't reflect the change . I alsoo found the individual change after but having to edit individual dimensions is tedious. Do you have an answer as to why changing the size in character setup>dimension numbers isn't being reflected. Thank you for your assistance

Jim's answer seemed clear enough to me. Changing the font size in system options only affects drawings you create after making the change.

To change the font size in the drawing you're working on, make the same change, found in the same place and changed in the same

way in "Drawing" options.

Repeat edit shaves off a little of the tedium. You still wind up moving the pointers and notes.

Editing dimension attributes in the drawing options isn't retroactive, and only affects dimensions added after the changes.
