Hi,

All of a sudden F12 does not toggle the polar tracking. Anyone else run into this?

And it looks like my escape key no longer releases my selected items.

Key board shortcuts are enabled in the system options.

Does your PC have a function on/off key? My new laptop has the ability to turn the function keys on an off. For softplan to recognize the keystroke it has to be one or the other...

Restarted first thing. Changed the keyboard. Will now check to see if the function keys have been disabled as soon as i figure out how.

Cheers!

Success!

Holding the Esc key and pressing the FN key unlocked the function keys.

Back in business.

Yep... that's what mine does... There's a little tiny "FN" under the ESC on the key.

No word of a lie! After messing around with the disabled function keys and resolving the issue, about ten minutes ago the function keys stopped working again. So did the escape key. No matter how many times I pressed the ESC and FN keys it would not come back. Needed to finish some drafting so I worked around it. A few minutes ago I needed to add some text, opened the text box and could not type anything. Then I looked at the floor and saw my keyboard unplugged from a USB extension cable.

DUH !

Sounds like a bluetooth keyboard or a laptop.

I love it when I figure those things out after tons of hair-pulling frustration.
