Hi,

I would like to run from my laptop with duel monitors.

Is it better to have Duel monitors of the same model and make or different manufacturers?

What are your recommendations?

Many thanks in advance.

David Edlin

If you're OCD and anal about that sort of thing, yes. Otherwise, it shouldn't really matter what brand. Obviously they may look different if they're not the same (and that sort of thing would bug me).

Jon is correct. I had two different monitors from Dell. The newer one was a much higher resolution with a much crisper picture. Drove me absolutely nuts. $750.00 latter, both monitors are the same and I am stable again.

Dual monitors of the same make & model.

Different makes and models could possibly have different refresh rates and resolutions.

I have two different monitors from different time periods so they do look different but it does not seem to bother me.

I had all kinds of problems when I was trying to run two different monitors... they were always dueling with each other.

I have 3- 4K monitors with no problem. But, if your eyes are old like mine you may want one of them set to 1920x1080 so you can read the help menu.

I have two different monitors (a 32" curved 4k and 24" flat), and use my laptop and ipad for more screen space. Someday I'll get second 32" curved or something bigger.
