Hi, everyone  I am new to this form.  I have been a SoftPlan user since 1998 version 7.  I notice a post on how to print the entire manual for 2020. I find it very difficult to use the online help menu. could you send me the link once again.

Henry, Under Help on the toolbar you find the digital manual from which any

or all pages can be printed. PDF Attached was saved and printed from the manual

as shown in the attachment.

Why not ask Softplan to send you a copy of the manual?

They don't make the manuals anymore.

They were thick, at least 2".   I think for a new user they'd be more handy then the help icon menu system....now there's something difficult to navigate......IMO.  search terms NEVER work for me.

A start to finish procedure and checklist could be handy to circulate to new users.

I wouldn't recommend printing an entire manual, you'd burn up a ream of paper and a few cartridges of black ink.

I love the printed manual and saved all of them.  I refer to the latest printed one which I believe is 2014 version. That is how I learned.  I went page by page and took it with me and anytime I had to wait somewhere I read in it.  That was early 90s.  I could sure use the printed manual for learning all the new stuff.   I understand no one provides printed manuals.  Just like ebooks, tried but just did not get into them.

Softplan should have available especially for new users the printed manual. Like Kevin, when I first started using Softplan, I read it over and over sometimes sitting on the back patio smoking my pipe. And it was much easier to find a subject  that you were looking for in the manual.

Has anyone actually asked SoftPlan yet if there are any printed manuals available?

They stopped printing the manuals since version 2012 or 2014 and now just create the little book for getting started that you show David. I too wish the whole thing was still an option to get as the online 'help' is sorely lacking. If you don't know the exact term that softplan calls something you just won't find what you need.
