When I drag my electrical layout drawing into my page in my plan set a second “shadow” dishwasher and pedestal sink appear on the drawing.
How do I remove these? They cannot be erased

You mean they are just a dark filled in square? Turn off solid fill in options > drawing options > mode visibility > electrical > uncheck "paint in symbols"
