I hope all having a great weekend.

Could someone lead me in the right direction to learn about layering.

I'm thinking it may assist in taking steps out of my plan set creation.

To put it simply Doug, layers control visibility, color, line style, and pen style.  So if the visibility of a layer is turned off, everything on that layer will still extract in the model.  If you have something on a building option that is turned off, then that option won't extract in your model.  For example I have one layer with the pen set to print in green with solid lines and another layer set to print in red with dashed lines..  I provide HVAC duct designs as part of my plan so I have all the supply trunks on the layer that print in green and all my return trunks print on a layer that is set to print in red with dashed lines. There are literally countless possibilities as how you might want to use them.  Hope this helps!
