I have my roof, rafters and ceiling drawn and at a x/12 pitch

I add ceiling insulation and i do not see a way to give it a slope like the ceiling.

I know that i can draw a box with the insulation symbol, just seeing if i am forgetting something

Suggestions Welcomed

Thank you

Dan

I'm not at a Softplan computer, but I believe that If you edit the ceiling you can add the insulation to it directly in the ceiling menu.

Alternately, if you're just drawing it in section, adjust the curor angle to match the roof pitch, and draw a box or a line with insulation texture to suit.

Hi Keith,

Any idea how I can get the insulation texture to appear as an option when I edit the polygon I drew on my sloped ceiling?

Thanks!

Draw an angled line through the centre of it and edit the line to have a thickness and change it's texture to insulation.

Alternately, put the polygon on a separate layer. Turn off the visiblility of other layers. Make a paint pattern by exploding a insulalion line and creating a custom paint, and paint the polygon with it.

You could also trace the polygon with a shade break and add a custom shade paint.

I have so many insulation paints, but I can't remember if any of them are standard - I don't think they are, but creating a custom paint is simple. For insulation I'd recommend having multiple custom depth paints to suit the insulation thickness that you are going to use.

Thank you! I never noticed the option to select different textures for lines before. Very handy!
