Stefan,

I think it's tied to the way the wall and the beams join. Change the join tolerance for the beams on the walls to 0", and then make sure the walls join correctly.

Keith

thanks,

I changed  join tolerance, it does not work.

Meanwhile I could figure out that on the right wall was no problem.

The centre of the beam on the right wall joins the centre of that wall.

I moved just a few inches the upright beam on the left to the centre of the wall and this was the solution.

No matter why, normally the beam has more stability the more it is away from a corner.

But it seems a default tolerance from SoftPlan.

Can you uncheck "cleanup" in the edit window/common of the beam so that the beam does not interfere?

Not sure how beams and walls inter-relate regarding joining. Try taking the wall join tolerance down to something that clears the end of the beam ... say 3" and try that.

I always find that the walls are either one taller than the other or the offset is different between walls, when this happens.

Might also have been when this happen to me a cleanup or opening the project did it;

Never saw the beams misbehave in this situation

yes, thanks, this is also a great solution as joining the beams to the centre of the walls, already done
