Question has anyone ever used the roof areas on the drawings to see how accurate they are ? I am laying out the rafters on a pretty cut up structure with 10/12 pitch and normally it would be real time consuming to figure the sheet goods for it. After playing with the roof layout and looking at the edit on each area it seems a done deal. If this is a pretty sure way to use the figures with say a 10% waste it will sure save a lot of time, and the cost of plywood or osb noe a days want to be as close as possible.

I would make sure that you draw holes in the roof where you have overbuilds that you may not sheet under so you don't have a bunch of extra sheeting showing that doesn't really exist. Or just subtract a little bit to cover that or even use that as your waste factor? The software is pretty accurate on materials as long as you've drawn things correctly, the way it will be built.
