I have two flat sloped roofs in my plan. Whenever I try to copy and paste anything from SoftPlan clipboard into this drawing, both the roofs go flat (along with any item, such as decorative beams and can lights that are referencing them).

It essentially looks like the house experienced a severe earthquake.

I thought I could uncheck 'regenerate' in the roof edit menu, but that does nothing and the box is checked again when I go back to edit menu.

I'm guessing this is just a dumb oversight on my part not understanding this function - or maybe there is somewhere else in the program I can turn this off or another way to remedy?

TIA

I'm going to try to be a little helpful, I saw your plan and it is maybe a challenging roof maybe not. would have to see in my computer and work Softplan on it.

I'll give you a couple things i do that helps me thru roofs.

1) you can edit the roof edge and uncheck regenerate, and edit the roof section as a whole and also uncheck regenerate. Maybe this is part of it that you need to uncheck the roof edge (lollipops) and click in the middle of the roof and uncheck regenerate there also.

2) Some times I check "ignore wall, depending if a roof edge is looking at the wrong wall

2 1/2) Some times when there is lower wall also the roof edge doesn't go to the right one.

3) sometime using cleanup works

4) Some times use the adjust tool and adjust the roof edge lollipop to another part of the wall

5) on the tool bar is the auto regenerate to maybe turn off.

If you want me to take a look at the plan      Open: File- send to-mail recipient and it should create a zipped fill to email the project.            otrhomes@gmail.com I'll check it out and see if I can be of help.
