Ok I'll try to send a section of roof where I need to attach a roof plan but for the life of me can't get it to grab. I hope the pic will explain what I'm trying to accomplish.

Use either beams or a wall outside your plan positioned to suit. Change it to NOT EXTRACT IN MODEL and HIDDEN - I also tend to put it on a hidden layer - so that the roof has something to reference to, but it doesn't show on either the model or the plan - if you use Softlist, you can remove it from there to.

 

The other question, is how will this actually be constructed (I can't actually tell from the picture what the issue is). Normally, the principle is construct it on the drawing as it would be constructed on site.
