Hello all, Been using Softplan for about 14 years now the latest I was using was 2016 now I'm on the 2022 Softplan+.

Having trouble with the add false gable function. Before it was just click on the 2 points you wanted and boom there was a gable. Trying that now and it doesn't work.

I have tried cutting a hole then adding the gable and no such luck. The roof on opening function works but where I need the roof there isn't an opening.

Can someone shine some light on this for me please?

It should workk exactly like it did. Choose DRAW > ADD FALSE GABLE, and then you trace the gable edge on the eaves.

The 2022.2.8 patch should fix this issue.  File->System Options->System Options->Check for Updates

Sure enough, Thank you Softplan!!

Next thing I am wondering about is, is anyone else having an issue using with the multiple floor roof function.

I have a 2 story house with the 1st story having multiple wall heights so i drop the floor system to the right height. I put a roof on the 2nd level and it works good, put the roof on the 1st level and on the plan it looks good but in the elevations its raised by the amount of drop I had to put in the 2nd floor. I feel like it takes reference off of the floor not the wall or beam it should be. Should have a 12" heel like the 2nd level but has a 21.5" heel instead.

I hope that makes sense. Not sure if anyone is experiencing something like that also.

False gable worked fine in 2022.2.6 but didn't work correctly in 2022.2.7.  The new update (2022.2.8) took care of the issue and works again.

I am having an issue with false gable not lining up edges with existing main roof hip. On the roof plan it shows like all lines match up with no issue but once i go to the 3d or elevation views there is a disconnect. Anyone know what the issue is? Ive attached pictures of what I am seeing

Is it possible for you to combine your two roofs and to have your false gable overhang 1/4" more then the eave overhang?  That's the way i manipulate a false gable using 1 roof vs 2 roofs.
