Hi - I am drawing a small portico over a front door.  I drew three beams, set them at the right height.  However when I go to roof mode they are nowhere to be found.  I checked "visible in all modes".  I can see them in the 3-D and elevation views.  Cannot see in roof or profile mode tho.

Any suggestions?

Edward, Try Options>Visible Items> Beams. If not there the beams may be on a level that is turned off if so they would still appear in 3D.

Check the level Edit Beam>Common Tab> Layer, Default most common layer

Steve -  "Beams" are checked in the drawing mode.  There is no "beam" in the roof mode.  There is an option for framing which is on, hence the other beams show up.   It's strange.... these beams show up in the floor plan, perspectives, elevations, but not in profile or roof mode.  go figure.....

OK, I found it.  they were created on a layer that was not turned on in roof mode.  I'm still learning about layers in softplan. I am happy they exist, however they act much differently than autocad.
