Does anyone have a solution to fix the bottom part of the steps going down from a landing cutting into the deck above?

Very frustrating and looks bad on the plan.

Neil if you explode the stairs you will be able to erase the unwanted lines that show on the plan view.

Thanks for that Steve (or Carla).

Tried that but the stairs disappear from the 3d view?

It does fix the plan view though, still I need the stairs to stay intact.

Make a copy of the stairs and place it right on top of the other one.  Put one of the copies on a layer and turn it off.  Even with the layer turned off it will still show in 3d.  Now you can explode the remaining stair and make it look as you wish.

maybe put deck stairs on first floor plan, and landing on second floor plan

copy the stairs to both floor plans, but explode on only one, so you can modify it and it will not show up in 3D

If you don't need to make modifications, there is no need to explode it, you can just hide it from Softview.

Thanks for your ideas Brad and Tommy

Both those will work as a work around.

Cheers

Neil
