When i try to move a "details" page (.spd)  from one drawing to the next rather than having to redraw it..it is always blank in the current drawing. What am i doing wrong? I also tried to merge it but is blank also.

Thx in advance sp2018

Check your layers or building options to make sure its visible.  Possibly on the original drawing your pulling from you used a custom layer or something thats not used on the project your dropping the detail from.

How is your details page created? Does it have the details as their own spd's? If so then you have to copy everything over including the individual detail drawings. Otherwise the drawing doesn't know what to reference. If this isn't the case then please explain what your original "details spd" is made of or how you put it together.

Have you tried saving your cad details in your planset template?

Or, use the new nesting feature?

Easiest way is to copy and paste the SPD file using windows.

Go to the project folder. Choose the file and copy (not cut).
Go to the other project folder and paste the file. You should be able to open the drawing in the new project.
