If I have created a wall type in a drawing through drawing options>drawing options>define wall, can I then save that wall type to system options for future projects?

Just open System Options, go to the wall menu, select import, navigate to the drawing and wall you want to import and highlight it. It will import to the very bottom of the wall list. You may want to click on sort and drag it to a good spot in the wall list.
