How can I get the foundation to show like the attached cad drawing with a thickened edge slab and a sloped edge where it meets the floor? All I can get is a rectangular grade beam. The techs have told me that it's not possible. Seems like this is a standard construction detail and there should be a way??

Unfortunately you cannot do it with a slab. The best way I've found is to create a wall that has the correct profile and then set it so the slab is just over it or lined up how you want it. The section will show the lines between the slab and wall, but you can either manipulate the SV settings or just save the 2D section and clean up lines. An alternative I've used if I want total control is to build the foundation in SketchUp and import it as a symbol to SP. Another area where it would be nice if we had more control of how footings/slabs/foundations behave.

That ONLY works for an 8" depth. The 45° angle is ONLY ever drawn at 4", so doing anything else, results in a rectangular grade beam as Dan said in the first post.
