Is there a way to get a different surface texture on the same wall at a certain height?

I draw a wall and extended it to the gable roof.

I want the gable portion to be shingle and below to be vinyl siding.

Is there a way to "split" the wall so I can edit the surface texture separately?

Thank you

Copy your wall to a new wall then edit the wall definition, stop the lower vinyl at a specific height (fixed) then add another siding like 'siding b' and don't click 'fixed'  i usually spit with a band or belt board at the break line.

Alternately, don't extend it to the roof. Leave it at a constant height, and have the gable created with the roof, then change the material to suit.
