Has anyone encountered European lumber and been turned down for it by Inspection Department.
I recently got turned down on floor joist. Had to get engineer letter.
Spans were 13'2" 2 x 10 @ 16" oc. Engineer said they had 1/2" deflection and needed to double every joist.
Luckily it was 1st floor inspection with no plywood or rough ins. Company that supplied material are going to supply all needed to correct
the problem. Just curious to see if anyone has encountered this and what you had to do to resolve this.
