I feel a but stupid posting this, but I've tried to search the forums and I've viewed multiple videos without finding QUITE the information I am looking for.

I've been on SoftPlan for about a year now, but am trying to actually do the full CDs for a house in SoftPlan for the first time (prior to this, I was exporting to AutoCAD and finishing them there to match the look I had on other drawing/project sets).

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to create a Roof Plan that will do the following: label the roof slopes (ie, I could create a label, but I am hoping it could generate automatically in SoftPlan), label hip / ridge / valley, be able to dimension the overhangs, and be able to show a roof texture.  I THINK I have the dimensioning figured out as to why I wasn't getting what I wanted, but am still not 100% confident.

1) IS there a good tutorial out there? I'd love to find it.

2) If the answer is NO, is there anyone who could devote a short period of time to walk me through how to do it?

I feel like I am just missing some basic (or advanced basic) things that I have just missed.

Thanks, all!

For the roof pitch, go to "Visible Items" in roof mode and check "Roof Pitch"

So far as I know neither the dimensioning nor the ridge/hip/valley labels can be done automatically-you'll have to add notes and dimensions.

For the roof texture use paint breaks and paint.

I don't like the way SP places roof pitch often, so I use the symbols from "EXTERIOR, PITCH and then place them while in my roof only layer so they only show up on the roof mode. Only issue is they are a pain to adjust in roof mode, so I go into one of the custom modes and turn on that layer and adjust there most of the time. A bit of messing around, but gives me more control.

Thank you all!  I knew it had to just be somewhere I couldn't find.
