Anyone have trouble adding a "point light source" to a 3D rendering?

I can add the light source but it does not show on the rendering, the lighting stays the same.

Thanks

Dean

Yeah for sure! Are you using 2022? If so did you try to add a light source and get the lighting updated on your 3D rendering?

Just need to know if it's from my end or all 2022 users? Cheers.

Thanks

I'd suggest to turn off Decay on the point light edit, I think decay has to do with how far the light shines,

I have best luck using Direct ight, and maybe putting Position Z at  6' and Target Z at 6', or just using the Zs to make the light go where you want.

now that we have direct 11 and direct X 12, lights do a different way with each. I suggest if you get a good setting you like, save it as a render option,

and you can put those setting to any drawing.
