Where should these show up?  I cannot dimension anything on the Floor System mode.

I have the dimension settings on to go to the edge of footing.

Add them in drawing mode. You can put them on a layer if you want to have them show up on other modes.

While you are in Floor System Mode use Options > Visible Items and turn on Wall Footings (from drawing Items) you can add extensions and dimension them. You can also use diagonal square.

I saw on Extension format yesterday, where it can be extension edge, or none for foortings and the same for slab footer

 

And deminsion format the same, maybe that is the problem
