My name is Barbara and I have worked as a full-time drafter at the Univ. of TN for almost 8 years now, while working my house design business, King Home Designs, for 9 years. Here in the near future my state job at UT may be outsourced to a private company, which means I may lose my full-time job! Thus the reason I am posting here. I am looking for a full-time drafting/design job that I can continue to do from my home, as I have been for my business part-time. Although I am proficient in Autodesk Architecture and use that program at UT, I also know and use Softplan+ 2016 for my house design business. I LOVE softplan, and would LOVE to do residential design full-time again! Although I have 30+ years experience in both commercial and residential design, my passion is residential. I love designing the floor plans the most and understand the clients' needs. If anyone here needs any help or is looking to sub contract out or even hire a full-time drafter, please contact me!
