Shawn,

There is NO SP Arial Font. All the SP fonts are installed to the windows fonts folder, and all the fonts used are pulled from there. If you use a Standard SP font or a standard windows font, it's taken from the same place, but Softplan has no control over the look of font that you use.

Randy,

Look at Bens post above. The example he's showing for the 2016 version shows how the text is fuzzy/blurry. That is how mine/others looks as well (although my 2014 is/was crisp and clear unlike his 2014 example). Can you see how Ben's example is fuzzy? is yours like that or clear? Again, it was almost the first thing I noticed when I opened 2016 (same machine).

I'm ready to just accept this but now your the second person who is not having this issue...?

I just upgraded to 2016 version, same issue with blurred text. It was the first thing I noticed. Has Softplan had any response to this problem?

I'm not sure Softplan are seeing this as "A PROBLEM" ...

The text is fuzzy/blurry when you are zoomed out, but the actual letters are clearer than in 2014 when you are zoomed in. See earlier post

After using SP full time for well over a decade "I' see this is a set back. I honestly never knew or noticed there was a problem with the text until this revision.

I recommend that anyone who finds blurry text to be unacceptable to tell SP to fix it via the 'suggestion' link. ...just my 2cents.

I figure I got at least another decade at the desk using SP so really needing them to keep improving.

I don't mind the LOOK of the text. However, I am convinced the NEW look text is slowing down operations with large blocks of text an appreciable amount!

Well, I’m sort of glad to hear others are also experiencing the “blurry” text because it means I wasn’t going crazy! And I do have good news for your frustration! Well, in my case anyways, my eyes eventually adjusted and I no longer notice it. And I am very happy about that since I was getting headaches from my eyes trying to re-focus and clarify the blurriness.

This is typically what I see ... Whether it be black or white backgrounds.

2015.12.22_08h23m09s_002.png

If I zoom out, I see this (zoomed text and a smaller screen capture) ...

I don't really see this as BLURRY, but it's certainly not clear. Probably due to it's size. But you're not trying to read it at that size anyway.

Most of you probably don't remember when Softplan showed text as XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX when you zoomed out past a certain level.

Is this what you are classifying as BLURRY? Is this what you are seeing?
