Again,

  How do you draw a vaulted ceiling as I have tried to portray in the attached jpg? It is easy to add a false gable on a roof, but how do you do the ceiling?

the easy cheaters way is to draw the hip ceiling and cut a hole in the ceiling where the false

gable is (or use auto hole).  than edit the surface of the sheathing in the false gable to what ever you want.

remember you can copy and paste one of the other textures in the room to be on the sheathing.

 

tip: fit wall to roof works great in this situation as you can see

to put the wall up into the gable.

You need to draw two walls which represent the width of the small gable and will allow you to generate that piece.

Then you can hide those two walls and trace hole in the main ceiling and the small ceiling to get ride of the bits you do not want.

It is currently a bit confusing because you can put a "False Gable" on the outside without any side to side reference points

 

but there is not a corresponding ability to create a matching "False Gable" on the ceiling below.
