Replying to Roof design problems?

Sorry, I don't understand "I'm also having difficulties having loft area appear in floor plan" ... Can you clarify what you are trying to see, and what/where are you drawing it?

Thank you, that seems to work.  I'm also having difficulties having loft area appear in floor plan...When I switch to Floor system view it shows up..It's like I turned something off but not sure what. Its going to take me a while to transition to Softplan..Learning curve may be slow.

You haven't told us what is not working? If the problem is the side gable, draw your main roof and use "Add False Gable" to draw your side gable and then Hole>Auto hole, click on main roof and then on the gable.

Good Morning, I'm a new user...mostly used sketchup, I have a house i'm trying to get done with a roof with a gable dormer and i can't seem to make it work In Sketchup it looks like the attached screen shot.
