Shouldn't have an impact on printing. The only restriction is that once you open a file with a newer version, you can't go backwards and open with an older version.

You may have a little cleaning to do. Sometime things like paints and texts act slighly differently between some versions but couldn't say between 7 and 9.

I am not sure with 9.1

I dont think it matters what you open it with.  So if you have the latest and open it up in 2018 or even 2016 or 2014 you should still have the information to be able to print out drawings.  you may have to get the layout correct but it should work.

If the drawings were done prior to version 8, they needed to be opened & saved in version 8 before they could go forward. Once they were saved in version 8 they could go to any version.

I will give that a try, thanks.

Do you know if they will be printable with 9.1, that is the closest disc's I have to 7.1

I believe that if you have the newer version installed you should be able to open the older drawings

I have an old version of softplan 7.1, my old 486 computer finally called it quits. I have 20 years of drawings on the old computer and purchased a “new” old computer but i need the install disc’s for softplan version 7.1, 7.1 is a DOS based software and not compatible with newer windows based software. Is there any way for you to send me a file with the install software for 7.1
Any help would be appreciated. I did by a newer version but never used it because of the incompatibility.

Thanks, Denis
