I have a wall definition that shows the concrete cap correctly until I rake the wall and then the stone goes above the concrete cap.

That was my first guess, but that didn't seem to make any difference

Brad, I set the vertical start on the concrete cap to 108" in your definition which placed the cap somewhat correctly

on the high end but below the stone on the left /lower end of the wall. I sent a support ticket

in and will report back.

Thanks, that helped a little bit.  It appears the concrete cap is wanting to slope at a different angle then the top of the wall.  here is my new results.

It seems like shallower angles it is less pronounced and therefore not noticeable.

Brad, Response from tech support attached.

I ask that a ticket be created for the suggestion box for the

cap to be able to be added using a wall definition.

How can you draw a solid cube at an angle?

Henry, I asked tech that same question and I am waiting for the response.

I would consider using a beam , adjusting the size and desired slope and

then edit the texture to concrete.

Brad try this, The end cap is a solid cube with a surface copy/paste

This will not have the solid concrete core if you were counting on the

material for softlist.

I was hoping it was something new that we couldn't do before.

Well that seems to work.  Even though it was concrete "a" and "b" there was still some internal conflict.  Same for the stone.  I made one stone "man made" and one stone "natural" and it was still giving me fits.  it wasn't until I used other materials that it acted ok.  I made one side a solid wood beam and one of them a log A.  Thanks for all your help... Hopefully softplan will work on fixing this one, it would be nice to not have to use so many different materials when sloping a wall.

Brad in the last wall definition I posted there are only two different materials plus the cube.

The illustration is one I created using the wall definition.

Thanks for all your help.

I was mainly trying to diagnose the problem for softplan so they can tackle the issue and hopefully bring a fix.  It appears to me that when you have two concrete materials or two stone materials in a single wall definition they will conflict with each other when the top of the wall is raked.  Even if you have one as concrete "a" and the other concrete "b"... or stone-man made and stone-natural.  When sloping the top of a wall they will slope at different angles.  It's not too noticeable at a shallower angle but becomes more pronounced at a steeper pitch.

Sort of similar question, how would i get the wall trim cap to go beyond the actual wall by about 1".  i have a feeling its not possible in the wall definition.

Joseph,

I don't think it's possible in the wall definition but you can achieve what you want by using a railing (top rail only) and adjusting to fit.  Be sure to turn off cleanup.
