We are working with a lot of customers doing renovation work where our estimates may be modified many times based on what the clients want to hire us for (entire project or just certain parts).  In figuring out the estimates we may take out cabinets or painting.  Has anyone else done similar and if so how do you do it int the best way to bring the information back if needed again?

Just getting used to the new softlist, but like it      I often uncheck items from "softlist" and they don't figure at all

I'm a big fan of using Building Options to control what is reported. If an item is in a Building Option that is off, it will not show up in the SoftList report. The other benefit is that when a Building Option is off it is not visible in the 3d view, so this give you a good visual of what is going to show up (or not show up) in SoftList. So in your case Tom, put the cabinets and or Wallcovering in a separate Building Option and toggle that option on or foof depending on whether you want it reported in SoftList

Excellent tip Frank.  I use building options all the time with 2D and 3D but never registered the same with Softlist.
