I'm using a Nvidia Quadro card RTX 4000, and have had one for many years. I feel like it does pretty good.

below is the look i'm getting out of just Softplan 3d.   Curious if the Quadro is holding me back any.

seems to me the important thing is getting lighting correct.

This is a video and not just a still, and not a lot of time spent on it.

Just curious, if maybe someone can post a few looks, just using Softplan program.

Looks fun, like it,

Hoping a few people will post pictures of stuff done in just Softplan.

I'm learning about to my limit now. trying to get softlist right.

wanting to see if my Nvidia Quadro cARDS are OK and not creating me problems, that I don't understand. Due to cost I'm stuck with them for a while.

So curious whta others are producing out of Softplan

Softplan does NOT recommend Quadro cards. You'll probably find that almost everyone else is using GEFORCE or RADEON gaming cards.

See What type of video card does SoftPlan require?

Exclusions: Workstation class graphics cards, such as the NVIDIA Quadro® series and the AMD Radeon Pro (formerly FirePro™) series, are NOT recommended as they tend to deliver poor performance when used with SoftPlan, which is designed to take advantage of features provided by so called ‘gaming’ cards, features which most workstation cards lack.

Fred,  It is true that we don't recommend Quatro Cards however this is because historically they had issues in some older models.  Their drivers that didn't play well with SoftPlan and created anomalies that we couldn't resolve.
If you aren't seeing any anomalies of this kind then that is a good indication that the new Quatro RTX cards don't have these same driver issues.  Personally I wouldn't consider changing that card unless you start experiencing specific issues with it.  It appears to be functioning properly from what I can see and it is a powerful card. I wouldn't expect any great benefit from changing cards.

Thanks for feedback, Steve & Carla nice plan and 3d.

John, that is what I was fishing for, is about the Quadro, I've had one for ever, and never really had a problem, so was thinking maybe my work is not so good as could be because of the Quadro.

I hope my stuff is working like everyone else's, as far as how light hit and all.

I don't plan to go outside of Softplan for 3d, since it is good for my purposes.

I'd love to see any more examples of 3ds done in just Softplan, if anyone wants to share

Generating texture video with DX12 is super fast!  I ran into an error while uploading to YouTube so sent it to tech support.

Anyone who doesn't have a 3dconnection mouse should get one, its great for presentations if you have the customer looking over your shoulders asking for a walkthru.

Nice work Thomas, Is this all Softplan 2022 modeling? I have not yet installed 2022

those projects were started and modeled in ver. 2020... rendering images are all SoftPlan ver. 2022 (still figuring out my preferences and ways to tweak to get results I like).. some textures were imported from the Google (super easy to do)

Nice Allen !!

I have questions..

- is that all SoftPlan ?...

- new 2022 "vegetation" tool for the 3D grass perhaps ?

- are those "billboard" trees ? or high quality model trees ?
