I noted in Softlist the lumber tables for dimensional lumber are listed as 2X6, 2X8, etc. Obviously a 2X6 is 5.5" wide a 2X8 is 7.25" wide, etc.  If I want a header on an exterior opening to be 2X8 material and report such in Softlist, do I enter 7.25" in the header tab or 8"?  The problem I see entering 8" is the program will calculate that as literal (I think) when determining the header placement in relationship to the underside of the top plate (in other words rather it fits).  If I enter 7.25" wide in the header tab and select dimensional lumber for the header type will Softlist recognize that as a 2X8 in the lumber table and report as such?

Thank you!

Yes, add it as 7.25" and the header code (if you did not alter it) should call it out as 2x8
