I plan on attending and would love to hear more about structural design in SoftPlan and specifically interaction with TrusJoist Javelin export or Forte use.

Exporting SP data to ResCheck could be interesting.  Its been a huge time saver for me vs creation of energy reports from scratch.

I noticed that Forte is moving to just the web version- employee tried to download and it wasn't available.

The only downside is that the web version doesn't have load linking- yet.

I had gone to a seminar a couple months ago where they did discuss moving over to Forte Web. They made it seem like it would not take away Forte Desktop version. I voiced my concern that I have many projects and like to save the desktop version of the Forte file right into the project folder. So when I get a phone call about a particular project, I open up the folder on my computer which has my SoftPlan drawing file and also my Forte structural design file. This way I can open both really quickly as opposed to having to go onto some web browser and search for the file all over again.

Yeah, I put them in the project folder too- I'd prefer to keep the desktop version. But, I work with an engineer, so I only use it to check while designing or rarely providing the gravity on simple plans.

Seems like the download is back up on the website today.
