I imported a plan as a .dwg from Chief A. and in Chief they have about 200 layers (slight exaggeration). I have gotten rid of all of the imported stuff as I only used it for reference but now I'm stuck with ALL of those layers with nothing on them. Is there an easy way to get rid of all of them?

Reset the layers to your system. Boom, gone - but it will move anything remaining on those layers to the default or layer 0. Most often I choose to import such drawings to their own drawing and then use overlay or only reference them so I don't have the mess.

Thanks Mark. The simplest things are often the hardest to remember! Separate drawing for the import- yep, I think that's the way to go.

I know. Sometimes I stare and things and cannot recall what to do to get a setting the way I want it. Often imports from other programs are such a mess I'd rather not deal with them within a working drawing.
