Hi, everyone, short time listener, first time commenter.  :) I'm starting a new career with Softplan, and my first gigs are doing residential draw-ups for my architect brother. I've got a couple trial builds in and my first job is this project- I'm attempting to figure out the best way to create this kneewall- add it on top of the foundation wall in the basement plan or extend it from the bottom of the exterior framing in the main floor build?Attached File  Screenshot 2025-05-14 192011.png   93.43KB   1 downloads

Sam's suggestion is likely the correct way to approach it..

If I'm feeling lazy, another approach is to create a three story project... ICF lower level.. knee wall middle level.. upper level.. perhaps the knee wall middle level is only used to generate the model and is not part of the plan set..

Attached File  2x6SidingICF.png   124.9KB   0 downloadsThanks, Sam and Thomas. I just went into my project definitions directly and altered the 2x6 Siding wall to 2x6Siding/ICF, then replaced the default foundation walls with it. I can't, however, figure out how to tell the grade to sit at the base of the lower siding. Does that require a site plan or internal grade alteration, due to the program considering the entire "basement" and therefore below grade?

You can use AUTO-HORIZON. In the 3D window OPTIONS > SETUP OPTIONS > Check AUTO HORIZON and adjust height to suit.
