This didn't end up being a big deal at all, but I'm just curious if anybody else has found a similar experience. I was cleaning up some drawings to send a contractor for his labor quote, and when I looked at the corresponding Plan Set, there were two dimension points stretched diagonally between two seemingly random corners of interior walls. I don't think I ever put them there, and they certainly weren't on my current version of the drawing. I thought I was losing my mind - I checked the custom visibilities, the layers, the building options, and the overlays on both the drawing and the plan set, and the only place I could see these two dimension lines was on the plan set. I did a cleanup on the plan set: still there. I deleted the drawing from the plan set, re-added it, and presto - they were gone.

I'll be submitting a support ticket to see if this is a glitch or something I've done, but this is somehow related to Custom Visibilities. If I toggle on Custom Visibilities, two Dimension Points that I do have on the drawing are each moving one endpoint to a different corner. If I toggle custom visibilities back off, they jump back. In the two screenshots, I haven't changed any parameters in the Custom Visibilities menu - I've only toggled it on and off. Weird.

I used to get this all the time.  Hardly ever now.  It only happened when using the dimension point command.

I got the update from SP Support, and it seems that this triggers when a Dimension Point measures the length of a wall to an adjacent wall. It assumes you'll use extensions and dimensions rather than the Dimension Point format, so when enabling Custom Visibilities (presumably because of faeries), it says "oh, he must have meant to measure the distance to this wall that isn't adjacent. Let me fix that!"

I was originally trying to avoid extensions in this case because that hallway already has enough going on, but it's not a big enough deal to not make the change if I need Custom Visibilities. Why is it Custom Visibilities that triggers this behavior? Again, tricksters from the Fae Realm are the most likely option.

Custom Vis causes me all kinds of trouble, especially when used with building options. SP seems to decide randomly if your building option is going to be displayed or not.

For example I was trying to present a client with 4 options of light/pergola layouts for their porch.  So I created 4 copies of the rear elevation on a plan-set page and adjusted the custom vis options for each.

SP would constantly show options that were off or hide ones that were on. I went through a lot of verifying my settings, deleting the views off the page and re-adding them and eventually gave up, just went with 1 elevation on the page and fought with SP till it looked right for 1 option and exported the pdf and went to next option.

Oh and that's not to mention the many times it looked right in the program but changed what was visible in the exported PDF..
