Good afternoon.

I have a large plan that I need to rotate my elevations 90 degrees, portrait, typically landscape.

When I did, my speed notes will only rotate one direction. Of course, it figures I would like the drawing to rotate the other direction.

Any thoughts.

Are you using plan sets?

Good morning Keith.

Yes, I do use plan sets. One direction works, the other does not. I can go the direction that works, which I have, but just curious on the cause.

My thought is it is how the speed note was created.

What happens if you draw everything normally on the elevation, and then rotate the whole drawing on the plan set. Does the note not rotate correctly. I NEVER draw anything on the plan set page. If I need extra items, they are added to a separate drawing, and the drawing is added to the plan set.

It's possible I didn't describe the issue correctly. This happens on the actual elevation drawing. One direction works fine, the other does not, landscape to portrait.

Perhaps try rotating the speed notes upside down on the elevation?

Why rotate the elevation drawing? Just rotate it on the plan set.

Having said that, NOTES generally in English either read left to right of bottom to top. Especially UK English, I can't really speak for US English. I would expect that if you rotate counter-clockwise it's okay and clockwise wrong. Is that correct?
