I'm new to Softplan and am having trouble trying to setup my Dimensioning.  What I'm trying to do is dimension to outside of 1/2 OSB on exterior walls.  So when dimensioning a wall the thickness would show up drawn as 6" instead of 5 1/2".  Drawing exteriors 6" is common practice in my neck of the woods.

Change the OSB or in this definition "Sheathing" to dimension and extension--outside

For this I changed the Sheathing to bearing, but it doesn't have to be bearing for the dimensioning to be like you want.

If you want to have the 6" measurement show on the inside of the stud, you can change the stud at dimension and extension to inside

Note:

If you change the sheathing dimension/extension to outside you will also have to change the stud dimension/extension to inside or you won't see a wall thickness ---------- Must start reading all of the above posts before replying .....
