Still waiting in Ontario.
We have heard nothing from anybody .... Not Softplan and not any Courier ...

I have had mine for a couple of weeks now. I like it.
With that said, I really hate that it is taking this long for everyone to get their download instructions and book. This just does not seem right to me. I am not sure Softplan thought this one out thoroughly.
I believe that a CD Upgrade Disk would have been better and they could have been all mailed out on the same day.
With that said, would Softplan put us in front of a firing squad if we sent to others the upgrade file that we downloaded? Probably!

Not necessarily. Shipping from Softplan MAY be complete ... (although I seriously doubt it). We may just be waiting for couriers ... Yeah, right!

Where do you see that?
"Upgrade users (coming up from SP-14, SP-2012 and SP-2014) will be receiving their SP-2016 version via download (see www.Softplan.com/install.html)"
This is not a link for 2016

So with weather delays package finally arrived today in MA, download went smooth and took just over 2 hours, I did the recommended install and to transfer all my custom settings and projects over during install. Download was wireless through Comcast, at the time there was 4 laptops, 4 ipads and 4 cell phones all using the wireless service during the download( i assume that plays a roll in download speed?)

I just received a notice reminding me that my purchase of SoftPlan 2014 included a free trial subscription to SoftPlan+,
trial period of which expires April 2015. If I re-subscribe I am eligible for a SoftPlan 2016 upgrade, .. at reduced cost.
.. but from the post I have read about 2016, .. there seem to be a lot of issues with the software.
Is this because the only users posting are the somewhat unimpressed users and those that are having no issue at all are not voicing their opinions?
Are there lots more positive stories out there that haven't spoken up?
I'd certainly like to feel better about getting a griefless and smoooooth upgrade.

I think that it would be a fair assessment that folks not having problems are not posting.
My opinion is that other than a few glitches and minor issues the new version seems to be a great success and all the advanced users are eagerly awaiting the switch.
That being said, most software upgrades will have issues -the latest Android update was delayed a couple of months -it never hurts to wait a few months for final bug squashing and minor revisions.

Agreed - Even with all the reported issues, I'm itching to get my hands on it!
Typically, people only complain, when everything goes as it's supposed too, we don't bother to say anything. Why would we, that's what it's supposed to do!
