Is there a way to label rim joist in the floor framing schedule. Seems like it would be would be only logical since they go together. Or am I missing something. I am a new user from other software.

Mine come out as Floor Ring Joist. That is pretty much the same, correct?

I just did a material list in 2012 and it still comes out as total feet .
To get individual pieces you will need to adjust the formula. If you were getting it before open a material list in the old version and check how the formula reads.

You could try editing the rim joist and turn off "Include in Softlist". Then draw single joists over top of your rim joists breaking at the joists as if you were building it. You will have to do an "align to edge" to align it with the edge of the subfloor. You may also have to mess with the hanger locations on the single joists and the joist sets. This will list the rim joists in the schedule but will not define them as such. They will just show as another joist. I am not sure if this would cause any conflicts elsewhere if you do a clean up.
