Good morning, i am trying to add a Hot Tub into a sunroom addition i am designing.  When i do a search in the landscape section, it shows there are some available, but when i click on them to insert them, nothing happens.  Can someone help me out with the issue on this?

When you say you click on them and nothing happens, do you mean that the different hot tubs aren't available (empty library) or they show up but you can put it on the plan?

WHen i do a search in the lower left corner of the symbol pop-up box, they show up as if they are in the "landscape" section, so i click on the item, but it is like it is not loaded into the catalog.  Does that help?

The 1rst click selects the hot tub you want. Then, you have to click on your plan to insert the symbol. Is this what you're doing?

Yes, that is what i am doing.  It almost seems as though it is available, but not loaded into my catalog to acutally use...not sure if that is possible or not?

Do the size of your files in hot tubs match the image included?

 

If you try to draw the hot tub without going thru the search (the long way; Symbol>Landscape>Hot tubs>Hot tub 01), does it make a difference?

i only have fencing in that folder...no hot tubs.  would explain why they dont work.

 

Any idea on how i can download them and get them in my system?

Do you have Softplan 2016+? Don't know if they came with these. If you have Softplan 2016+, try going to the "Help" tab and then you have an option for "Download Additional Content".

If they are listed in the menu, they should be available to use. The hot tubs aren't Softplan + content. I'd contact technical support and try and get a download location for them.

you can download some nice "free" ones at "sketchup warehouse"

type in "hotsprings" nicely detailed

 

also softplan symbols "hot tub"

 

here's the hot springs models

 

these are considered tops in the hot tub / spa business

in the real world.
