I can't open files that I edited on another computer.
I had them stored on an external hard drive because I do work in another city.
What am I missing?
Thanks for any help in advance.

What error message does it give, when you try to open them?

If it a separate key you would have to share it with that key number. Softplan doesnt know you but knows it by the key

I don't think Softplan restricts access to a certain key number. I can open projects authored by others - and have, on many occasions - without any problems.
I concur with Yvon, request help from Tech Support ...

I had the same issue when trying to take a quick glance via opening from an email. Once I copied the drawings and saved them in a folder and then opened Softplan first, then the drawing, I did not have any issues.
Curious to see what tech support told you???

We have two computers in our office and each has it's own key number. I create the plans and then the other guy opens them up to add notes. We had the same issue. Now I open up Project options, automatically copy to Softplan+ cloud; put in my name and number. Below that I add his name and number and then "add user". We worked this out with Tech Support. Works just fine.

Interesting! We have three Softplan stations, and don't use Softplan Cloud. Drawings saved to a WD backup drive, can be opened from any station without any user keys being added. We have one main key and two secondary keys. That may make a difference.
