Hi,

When I am putting together the various plan sets and schedules required for a project there are many times I need to rotate a drawing in the paper space of the plan. I am running into problems with the room labels not rotating with the rest of the plan which invariably places the text over one critical construction detail or another. In the attached example the "actual" plan orientation is shown in the full lower level plan set and the rotated version is shown as an enlarged version that the guys in the field can actually read.

Has anyone come up with a way to make the Softplan Room Labels rotate with the drawing. I know I can rotate them in the settings but then the are going the wrong way for the other plan sets.

Cheers!

Sorry, Have somewhat the same issue myself ... However, I never use room labels, and prefer to put my own labels in to suit, so don't have the same problem.

I also rotate plans regularly, and have noticed that when dimensions are rotated, they invariably end up on the other side of a dimension line, which does what your room labels do, in that it sometimes ends up being obliterated by a note for something else.

What I would like is the complete plan to rotate ... everything. Typically my rotated plans are 11" x 17" vertical in a horizontal planset, and are therefore designed to be read from the bottom (Since you can't rotate an individual page in the plansets) and the individual rotation makes "vertical" text READ from the wrong side. Even the AREA section of my Title panel gets rotated. I don't want Softplan to do an "intelligent" rotate ... I just want the WHOLE item rotated. Is that too much to ask?

I agree. The dimensions are a pain when you rotate the drawing. I guess this one is something for the suggestion box at Softplan.

I've re-sent it as a suggestion, but as you say whether anyone does anything remains to be seen.

Has this ever been fixed? (yes I have SP2018 - just dont use it) Or a good work around?

The "Justification" issue drives me nuts.
