I have received an email from Microsoft saying that I should upgrade my Windows 7 to Windows 10. Has anyone done this and if yes does it cause any problems with Softplan 2016?

Hi Wayne, we just upgraded a couple of months ago. While it took a few hours, it was rather seamless and the system seems to run better and faster. Softplan generally was not a problem, although some of the settings were changed...like the fonts in particular. But, we use Arial, not and SP font.
I suggest you upgrade - you will be glad you did. But, you might speak with tech support regarding your system requirements and any suggestions they might have.
Best of luck!

Just to be clear here, the FREE offer for the Windows 10 upgrade officially expires on July 29, 2016. If you're considering upgrading you should do it soon, or you will end up paying for the new operating system.

Same here. Windows 10 is fine with Softplan 2016+ on desktop and surface.

I have the Surface Pro 4. I like it alot but I am still trying to get used to it in Softplan. The PDF drawboard is great. It is like having my sketch book with me. The little screen with Softplan is tough when I have to go away from my duel 21" desktop but that will ease in time. To have away on a trip or at a client meeting is great though. Rather have the two than a laptop

I love mine. I bought the surface 2 when the 3 came out because the price was just too attractive to pass up. Loved it so much after a few months that I went out and got the pro 3 which I've been using a bit over a year. I didn't see enough difference in the 4 to justify the cost but I'm thinking seriously about the book now. Its a LOT of money but has larger screen, extra battery life, and much better video card. I do a lot of addition/remodel work so having it on site for as builts makes like really nice. I also travel a ton...we usually spend about 50+ nights in a hotel for my wifes work so I bring the tablet along and work. If it wasn't for the rendering work I do for stock plan sales, I think I'd work exclusively from the tablet!!!
