I just upgraded to 2016. used version 12 for years, upgraded to 2012 and now 2016. Every time I add a wall or move something, the dimensions jump around, cleanup and seem to increase to locations I didn't ask for. I thought I had checked off of "dimension cleanup". What's goin on?

I have had that happen when dimensioning to 45 degree angled walls.  I'm not sure the cause.

I think you may have Auto Extension and Dimension checked.  Go to System options and uncheck it in Setup Options

 

It is on the right hand side right under the Installed Modules
