Has anyone found a way to create a triple casement unit that is arched?  Andersen and others make one but I can't create the side units that are sloped top.  If I take a standard triple casement and enter top deflection it make it one unit, not three.

Have a look at this thread ... softplan.com/forum/index.php?/topic/761-custom-windows-tutorial ... it should have everything you need.

Worked great except cannot add grills.  While creating, do the grills need to be exploded separately?

Just draw single lines where you want the grilles, and Softplan will automatically add them as grilles

Yes I have created it both ways.  Is there a way for the grills to be automated just like the trim.  Right now the grill option is grayed out on both units.

If you create it with grilles, Softplan knows they are grilles and can turn them on and off the same as standard windows - or at least it normally works like that, as far as I can remember. Although I have had some instances where the grilles seem to be a bit hit and miss.

custom grid patterns don't save.  They have to be what Softplan understands as grids.  so on the arched windows you cant get arched grids.

Having said that about grilles, I find the easiest is to create a variant with a drawn grille pattern that you want, and switch them as necessary.

Yes Keith, that is probably the best way.  Just surprised that it cant be done automatically.
